Six Steps To Burn Fat Around Stomach

Whether it is beach season, class reunion or a first date, everyone wants to lose that fat around stomach.  Their are two problems with wanting to lose weight…people wait too long to start a program and two, do not stay committed to it.  They get themselves believing that it is too difficult, the program was not right for them, etc.  I want to tell you that is bupkis.  Even diets put together by your registered dietitian need adjustments to it, and same goes for any program you choose.

First off, the term diet means a lot of things these days.  A quick Google search reveals more than 155 million pages of search results available…WOW!  With so much out there, it sounds impossible to select what is right for you, but the process of choosing does not have to be that hard.  As I have shown in a program comparison I did, each program has different characteristics, benefits and potential pitfalls.  Again, making changes along the way will aid in losing that fat around stomach and reaching your goal.  Listed below are a few recommended changes:

  • Avoid processed foods.  This sounds daunting, with all the local restaurants and the grocery stores packed with pre-packaged foods, but it is necessary and you will learn to make the proper choices.
  • Avoid, or at least, minimize sweats.  This includes candy and soda (or pop for those in the northern climate :-) ).  Instead of soda, try mixing a small amount of fruit juice with water…you will get to like it.
  • No more white bread!  Instead, select multi-grain, or at a minimum, whole wheat breads.
  • Now here is something that will fill you up so you reduce your binges…drink 10 or so glasses of water every day and for those exercising, start drinking water every 15 minutes or so.
  • Increase your daily eating.  What?  Yep, try to eat 5-6 smaller meals every day, rather than 2-3 larger meals.
  • Go green more often…increase your intake of fruits and veggies

Though the above are simple guidelines, they should be sufficient to get you to start seeing results quickly.  It is after some weight loss, where people tend to fall off.  Along with constant visits to weightlossstrategies, you need to continue eating this same way to ensure your fat around stomach stays gone.
